So yep. Here I am, blogging at 5 in the morning. And it’s so cold! 19°C baby! :)

I am so in love with Manila’s weather. I hope it stays this way all year long. #DreamOn

Anyway, I decided to post my old #OOTD which I saw on my hard drive recently. I was supposed to post this right away but I had issues with the lappy back then. And I can’t believe that my bump is still teeny tiny and that was only more than 2 months ago!

So here’s me at 22weeks 1day…

Oh bongga! Pa-virgin! Look at that cute bump. I miss that. Hahahahaha! Now the lil’peanut is heavy and big. Oh how fast time flies when you’re a mom. Kaya tama nga sila. Savor every moment. Kasi before you know it, they no longer are your baby…

Ay! Hindi din! Bakit ako?! Baby padin ni Mila. Hahahaha.. Maybe I’ll get a leaf out Mila’s book and make sure that I raise my child to be so close to me. So when the time comes that grow old, they’ll still be all sweet to me. At maka THEY naman daw ako?!! Hahahahaha! She pala! SHE’ll be sweet to me kahit malaki na!

Anyway, I am wearing an old dress here. A personal favorite. And I can’t believe that I was able to use it as maternity. It got a little shorter nga lang pero carry padin. Actually, I can still wear it now and I’m on my 8th month na. Hindi na nga lang sa office coz it has become too short for the Company Dress Code.

So here’s how I wore it last November 2012 (exactly a year before the above picture was taken)…

Aside from the obvious fact that it got shorter at the front, no difference! Well maybe, I look a little more plump but that’s it! Harhar! And let me mention that I am 22weeks 1day pregnant! I told you I didn’t really gain that much weight  during the first 7 months of my pregnancy. Medyo bumawi lang lately. Hahahaha! But atleast I’ve already maintained my weight so even if I gained a little too much now, balance lang. Actually, I’m still on the lower bracket of the normal weight gain range for my age and height. I just have to mention that here on the blog for all my friends who kept on telling me to quit eating!

Nakakaloka kasi, everytime they see me eating pagsasabihan ako agad. Eh hello?! I have a child to feed who constantly make me hungry. And besides, I monitor my food intake talaga. Unlike other preggy woman out there, I don’t go heavy on the rice. Normal padin like my pre-preggy self. I still maintain the 2-3 cups per day rice. Na medyo lugi pa nga kasi the 1 cup of rice at work is like half a cup only. Ang konti. I just eat more snacks which is what’s advisable coz I have gastritis. So I eat 1 pandesal or 1 small pack of cookies or oatmeal or fruits just to make sure that I don’t get hungry. I also go heavy on water. Medyo nawala lang ako sa wisyo nung December break. Hahahaha! But now I’m back on track.

I was whacking my brains for a blog-worthy Title but there’s only one word I could think of --- HUGE!

Look at me!! At 33 weeks and 3 days…

Look at that huge baby bump. Or should I say, ball?! Everyone’s telling me that I look like I’d pop anytime soon. Which by the way is not a great thing to say to a pregnant woman on her 8th month. Hello?! I don’t want a premmie. So please… Knock on wood! Hindi nakakatulong. Nakakaloka!

Anyway, I’m very proud to announce that even though I look like I’m carrying a huge watermelon and even if I gained a few pounds here and there, I am still on my pre-preggy clothes.

I can’t believe that I can still wear it even if I have thunder thighs now. And huge belly. I guess that’s one great thing about having loads of stretchable items in your closet. And not to mention extra versatile pieces. This is one of favorites actually.

Anyway, if there’s one thing I super love about being pregnant is the pregnancy glow. You see, I’m not wearing make ups lately. First, because I am so tamad to even bother. Second, the companion has been telling me to give my skin a rest and not put anything else to avoid irritation. So imagine how happy I am when I did a selfie this morning and got this…

Pinkish cheeks. Glowing skin. Bare face. And a slightly swollen nose. Hahahahaha! And oh! Messy eyebrows! Ugh! But whatever. I have a glowing skin. Pang-ponds at Olay levels. Saya lang ng effortless beauty. Kaya napa-blog ako agad!!!

So sorry if I haven’t done an OOTD in a while. I realized that I still have a few on my hard drive which I can’t post because they are “old”. Baby bump is much smaller a couple of weeks back. Oh how I missed the days when I can have an old set photos and can still post them today. But well, I’m also enjoying this pregnancy and all the perks that goes with it. Like backaches and heartburns and sleepless nights and stretch marks. And of course, those little kicks and rolls and turns that my lil’peanut is doing inside which makes my heart expand with so much love.

I am one lucky lady.

I had this conversation with a pregnant friend last week. She said she’s been wearing her jeans till her 7th month without any problem. I, on the other hand, kept all my jeans at the back of my closet except the super soft skinny ones.

So inspired y her, I tried on this pair one Friday morning and voila! It still fits. I didn’t even use my maternity belt because it’s low rise. I just kept the buttons open. Paired it with this lose top for extra comfort and I’m all good.

I just had my closet cleaned last night trying to scrounge for more items I can use. Still refusing to buy new ones except the lose dresses that Mila kept on buying for me. I let her because I think I can still use those at home post pregnancy and they are very cheap anyway.

I was thinking of starting this new thing on my blog where I’d show you how I used to wear a specific item pre-pregnancy. That’s for my non-pregnant readers which is like, most of you guys. Hehehe! It’ll also serve as my proof that I am indeed using old items in my closet. :)

That’s how I used to style this top. Paired it with a bodycon skirt for a more sophisticated look (left) and paired it with shorts and flipflops for a casual, easy-breezy look. :) Hope you liked it!!

Took this photo last month. Now the baby bump is twice that size and my fave sandals doesn’t fit me anymore. I think my feet grew half size longer. Whew! I hope it’ll grow a size bigger and won’t shrink back to the original size post pregnancy so it’ll be easier for me to buy shoes!! Yehey!

I keep on telling you guys that I am trying to wear my pre-pregnancy wardrobe. That I am trying to make do of the current items in my closet. You are probably wondering how I was able to wear my denim skirts and shorts and skinny jeans despite the bump. So I’m sharing with you guys my secret…

My very efficient MATERNITY BELT!

Yep! I kept my bottoms secured via this maternity belt. I’d keep them unzipped and hide it with a maternity belt so I could use it longer. Thank heavens that I am not yet packing too much pounds on my legs so I can still wear my pants and shorts comfortably. I hope I won’t gain too much though. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Got this maternity belt in Robinson’s Ermita Department Store. Totally forgot how much. I think a little less than Php 200. So affordable and so useful. It’s the first thing I bought ever since I learned of the pregnancy and I am loving it.

Part of my maternity fashion challenge is making sure I maximize my closet full of pre-preggy clothes. Being pregnant is also equivalent to GASTOS. And not just for yourself but most specially for the baby. And when you're a mother, your needs always come in second. Everytime I see cute maternity dresses, I always end up thinking of getting another onesie for the peanut instead of the dress.

So here's another OOTD of mine wearing my old clothes. Funny thing is, I am finding treasures in my closet. Clothes that I haven't worn for some time now (some even years!) but now looked good on me.

This skirt is one of them. A hidden treasure. I got this during my early college days (most probably late high school days). I remember Mila got this one for me and a black one for sissy. I would wear this once in a while but because it's white, I always think it made me look wide. Wider hips is a no-no! The horror!

But now I got to wear them. And I don't know why but it looked oh so good with this striped sweater of mine. I know that horizontal stripes usually makes one look wider but this one really didn't! I actually felt sexier in them. Hmmmm... I think I'm liking this.

This is my first Christmas with the little peanut, and eventhough dance lang sa tummy ang alam nyang gawin, I'm still oh so excited! Yay!

Last weekend, the sister accompanied me to The Medical City to ask my OB on how to deal with my allergic rhinitis. She advised me to pay an Allergologist a visit if my allergic rhinitis doesn’t ease up after 1 week. Actually, my only issue is the dry, itchy eyes. I am used to having clogged nose in the morning and I have been treating it with loads of water for the past months. I asked the OB if an Eye-Mo is okay for my eye issue and she said yes. Luckily, the dry, itchy eyes are now okay. Just the clogged nose and the occasional sneezing which I can live with for the meantime. I really don’t want to drink meds as much as possible while I’m pregnant so I try to treat everything with lotsa water. So far, so good.

After that OB visit, we give Payless a visit. My favorite sandals are from Payless. I get the ones on their kid’s section (I’m a whopping size 2!) and since its designed for the kids, the soles are not slippery at all. Perfect for the preggy momma! I was trying out a couple but I can’t find anything that suits my taste and my budget.

But the sissy saw these…

I was supposed to get for myself but it looked waay better on sissy’s feet so I allowed her to get it. She’s a size 2 1/2. Sadly, the straps are a bit big on me but its okay. I still get to borrow it from time to time.

And the best part is.. it’s ON SALE! This pair costs Php 478!!! Whatta score!! Borrowed it last Friday and it was uber nice! Yaaaayy!! I really heart Payless, especially if they’re on sale. I’m eyeing this specific pair, aantayin ko muna mag sale!! Ahahahahaha!

Finally! A maternity #OOTD for y’all.

To those of you who’s been asking me to post my maternity #OOTD, here it is. Sorry if it took me a couple of months to actually have the courage to do a fashion blog post. You see, I don’t really feel pretty during my first trimester. Honestly, most of the time I feel awful. I just make it a point to dress up and fix my face everyday because I have friends nastier than me. Eh ano kung buntis ako at pwedeng maiyak ako sa comment nila? Basta sasabihin nila sa akin that I look freakin’ awful and haggard! Ganyan ang true friends. Sarap ilaglag sa drain.

Anyway, this is what I wore yesterday for my EMR (emergency) OB visit. Nothing really alarming, it’s just that my allergic rhinitis was bugging me already. The runny nose and clogged nose is something I am used to, but the dry, itchy eyes? Not so much. I was supposed to see my ENT but was advised to visit my OB first.

So that’s why I’m sporting my Ray-bans inside the mall. Too much light is making my  eyes more itchy and dry. And that’s why I have a bare face here. Maitatago naman ng shades, why bother?

On to my outfit, I’m wearing my sister’s top here paired with my old shorts – unbuttoned and secured with my maternity belt. Finished off my entire look with my preggy sandals. This silver sandals I got from Payless is love. Wasn’t ale to blog about it though. I got it for my friend’s beach wedding and has been my default sandals. It’s rubber soles are perfect for me as it gives so much grip that I really need nowadays.

I love my roomy top and I love the length. It’s perfect to hide the maternity belt and gives enough coverage for my baby bump. The top also has a ribbon at the back which gave me waist definition.

And oh! My CLN bag to carry all my preggy necessities like my Mommy Book, bottled water, extra undies, tissues, alcohol. Whew!

I love being pregnant. And I am now starting to enjoy dressing up because finally, I have a baby bump to show everyone! Haven’t gained much weight if you notice (and the scales are telling me the same thing) except for the obvious bigger tummy so I’m proud to say that I haven’t bought a single maternity piece. Most of the things I’m wearing are actually my pre-pregnancy clothes. It’s just a matter of mixing and matching.

Let me leave you with my paparazzi shot which the sissy took. Sino mag-aakalang batang buntis ako?? Sino??! Hihihihihi…

Wore this on a cinema date (Four Sisters and a Wedding) with the siblings and the cousins and the companion. We went to Lucky China Town Mall in Binondo hence the sweater. Plus it’s raining earlier that day. Hahahaha! Halata bang defensive ako sa ginaw-na-ginaw look ko? (Do I sound defensive?)

I love Lucky China Town cinemas. The seats are spacious and it’s inclined so the petite girls like me won’t have to suffer with the head-blocking-view. Why won’t all cinemas be like that?? Why?? I mean, I always end up choosing the first row seats in the cinema because I’m sure if someone seats in front of me (and most likely s/he’ll be taller than I am), I won’t be able to get a full view of the screen. #pandakproblems

Anyway, Lucky China Town Mall cinemas are also freezing cold. The sister and I watched Man of Steel there a couple of weeks back and I was freezing by the time I left the cinema. So this time I came prepared. Loved the cozy sweater and the way it hugged me and warmed my body. I want more of this please!

Also, I wore the exact same ensemble a couple of weeks back at work sans the flats. Of course, I wore my beautiful heels.

Isn’t it gorgeous? I’m on an all blue outfit and I love it. It looks clean and crisp and office appropriate even if my skirt is a bit short. Of course, I pull down the skirt as low as I can while inside office premises. Dress codes are to be followed at all times!
