I am so addicted to my mustard yellow bodycon skirt! I swear I can wear them with everything. And they easily make every outfit fun and noticeable. I love love LOVE it!
I am also so much inlove with my top. The intricate details at the front is to die for. A perfect mix of glam and classy. I think this black top addiction of mine is going to last long. They just make me look thinner! I also try to stay away from sleeveless top lately because I got too much arms to show but the cut of this top is perfect for it makes my arms look smaller too. Now I am so deeply inlove. Yay!
Because of my black top, I thought adding splashes of colors on my entire look wont hurt. The mustard yellow skirt, the ocean blue heels, those cute green bracelets and ocean blue stud earrings. Colors everywhere really but they just worked. They made my outfit fun and quirky and youthful but so put together.

Them cute cardigans surely made my look more smart and so office-appropriate. I loved that it blends well with my top.
Since its just a small cardigan, it didn’t hide any of those cute details at the front of my top. They also didn’t make my top bulky at all making me look slimmer that I actually am. Opo! Hindi ako payat at inaamin ko yun. But I don’t need to be stick-thin to actually look good in my clothes. Look at Alyanna Martinez, an A-lister celebrity stylist. She is a plus-sized woman who dresses so well. Talbog sa kanya ang karamihan sa mga payat na artista. She looks smart and pretty and very stylish.
Pero hindi naman ako magpapakaplastik para sabihin sa inyong ayokong pumayat. Of course I want to! Not because of anything else but because of health reasons. I want to be healthy and feel healthy. Although I am not overweight but I still feel heavy. Also, I want to tone down my body and remove those flabby tummy and arms so I could dress up more easily. Effort po talagang mag outfit pag mejo ma-braso ka at ma-tyan.
Pero habang hindi ko pa naa-achive ang katawang pangarap ko, I will make sure that I dress the part. I won’t allow myself to be unfashionable and I also won’t try hard to be sexaaaayyy. Kung hindi ka kapayatan, wag nating ipilit ang p*kp*k shorts at tube tops. Parang awa nyo na! Wag na wag din nating ipilit ang tight fitting shirts coz we’ll end up looking like a sack of rice. Again, knowing your body is the key. And knowing what to hide and how to hide them would surely make a huge difference.

Top: Freeway | Skirt: Landmark | Cardigan: Vintage | Heels: Gibi Collection | Studs: Random | Bracelet: Cleaning Out Our Closet by ReigneI am no fashion expert but I do know a thing or two. I may not look my best always but I always feel good in what I wear. I am super happy dressing up. My sense of style may not be acceptable to everyone but this is who I am. I believe that fashion, like most of the things in the world, is subjective. And I am so glad that I live in a democratic country where I can exercise my fashion democracy.

The moment I saw this top, my jaw literally dropped. Isn’t gorgeous?! If only I have Miranda Kerr’s body I’d wear this sans the cami. Isn’t it so perfect? Low neckline, cape-like collar, double-breasted and most of all – Sheer! Sexy much!!

But since I’m no Miranda and I’m at the corporate world, I dressed appropriately hence the nude cami. I wear a nude cami just so I could still highlight the details of my top. Imagine wearing this with a black cami and it’ll look totally different.

Also note that I just pulled my skirt up a little before taking my outfit shots because I think the look and my heels are so much better with shorter skirt. I am wearing the skirt in its normal length while at work. We all know how corporate dress codes are. It is always better to follow them right?

I am again wearing a bodycon skirt in a yummy shade of blue and purple. I love this skirt’s print. It sure adds color and fun to my overall look. We don’t want to look too dull right?!

Again, minimal accessories because I want all attention to focus on my look. The top and the cutie skirt. I don’t want to put so much clatter since the skirt’s print is already loud.

I really love mini skirts and stiletto! They are a deadly combination if worn right. They could really make you look sexy and tall. I hate that these pics turned out grainy. :’(

Parang ang haba lang ng legs ko! At parang ang tangkad ko lang. The power of my 4inch heels!!!

And of course, I just have to show you my mini-cape. My top is actually a sleeveless sheer top with a cape-like collar. You could actually adjust the “cape” if you wanna show some more skin (which I obviously opted not to). Told you its gorgeous!
What do you guys think?!

Its been raining cats and dogs. I just swam my way home. Entire Manila is flooded I’m telling you. After Ondoy, I think I still have that fear every time it rains non-stop. Flood in the metro is not new to me but knee-deep flood is something else. Oh I hope the rain would stop. I can only think of those homeless families and those whose homes are flooded. Let us all continue to pray for everyone’s safety guys.

This is one of my “safe outfits”. I seldom wear slacks at work because so this cute plaid pants is a perfect alternative for our usual slacks. I paired it with my sheer black top with lace details and wore my nude cami underneath. And I completed my outfit with my royal blue heels for that pop of color. I am still me. As much as I would like to tone down my look, I still want to incorporate colors and details and sexyness on my look. Again, I kept my accessories on minimum stayed on the black-gold-silver palette. Perfect for a busy day at work.

My current LSS. A song by Cher from the movie Burlesque. I love it so much. :)
Anyway, here’s my take on being ruggedly handsome. :-P Nyahahaha.. I’m kinda busy lately so I’m gonna make it a short one. Here’s another Friday Dress Down look that I came up with. My pants is a little big on me because *ehem* I lost weight so I paired it with my sexy top and the equally gorgeous jacket. Plus heels to complete my feminine look and contradict my baggy pants.
What do you think of my look?

Here’s another office outfit post. I know I tend to wear pieces at work that would barely pass on our dress code but I’m telling you, I was never given even a warning. And for that, let me share my secret.
-
Skirt length is soo much important. An inch above the knee is acceptable and is not considered a mini. If you’re a petite girl like me, you could pass wearing 2 inches above the knee. If your skirt almost touch 2/3 of you leg length, then you could reconsider your options. Micro mini’s are a no-no! But semi-mini skirt is a yes.
-
If your dress has low neckline, wear a tube underneath. Pull a Sarah Geronimo. :) It won’t hurt anyway.
-
Do not wear body-hugging dress. Save them for party. But if you really wanna wear some body hugging dress you might consider throwing on a long cardigan. They can also be very helpful in hiding unwanted bulges.
-
On wearing cut-outs – make sure that the cut-outs are all “safe”. Cut outs on the arms may pass but cut-outs on the side seems not so cute and proper unless you throw on some cardigans again to hide it. But what good is wearing cut-outs if you can’t show them off?!
-
Sheers are very much in season lately so we fashyown girls want to wear our cute sheers at work and we can. Just make sure you wear a spaghetti strap or tube top underneath. If you have a printed sheer that doesn’t really show much of your skin underneath, you can drop the undergarments but make sure to wear loads of necklace to hide your chest. You don’t want your boss or officemate having a peek at your cleavage right? And again, throw on some jackets or cardigans.
-
If you love bright colors like me, just make sure you wear them one at a time. Do not go to work looking like a neon sign. And make sure you tone them down by partnering it with some basic colors like black or brown or nude or white.
-
If you’re the type who excessorize, make sure that they don’t disrupt your work. It’s so hard to type with a gazillion bracelet on. But if you can, don’t wear those accessories that cling clang all the time. Puhhleeaaasseee! Some people are working.
-
Leggings are not allowed at the office. But ssshhhh.. I wear them all the time! :) I just wear leggings that are thick enough to pass as jeggings or jeans or skinny pants. Most of my leggings looked like skinnies anyway.
So there you have it. I hope I was able to give you a couple of ideas on how to make your outfit more office appropriate. It’s Sunday and its work time again tomorrow. Arrrggghhh.. I hope the weekends never end. Harhar…
