Another easy breezy summer-outfit-yet-perfect-for-work. It’s so darn hot but I'm not really digging the rainy season just yet. Don’t get me wrong, I love rain! If only they’d schedule their visits, maybe like, weekends perhaps? Coz its so difficult to travel to and from the office with non-stop rain. :-S

January cold breeze, I miss you!

You’re probably getting sick of my DIY’d shirts but I honestly can’t stop wearing them. They are the comfiest and the breeziest tops I have in my stash! And since I can pair them with almost everything, my options are endless. This specific top is also worn here as a cover up. And the moment it hits my wardrobe after getting washed, I took it out immediately. This time pairing it with a skirt and my cute gold flats from payless.

I played with earth colors that day coz its another ninja dressing day. You know! Those mornings when you really can’t spare a minute to try on different looks so you just have to trust your better judgment and pray to all the fashion Goddess that the pieces you just pulled out of the cabinet would look good together.

I love that I was able to create a print on print effect via my top and my bag coz I really need to spice up my look that day. I’m such in a hurry that I totally forgot to accessorize! So hindi po ako nagpapaka-minimalist, nakalimutan ko talaga ang borloloy. #memorygap

I even forgot to wear a bandeau! So forgive the little bra peek-a-boo. But looking at it now, it aint bad right? Thank goodness I invest on good undies. So girls, another fashion tip over here, invest on those teeny-weenies. Though they’re hidden, they play vital role in one’s wardrobe or wardrobe malfunction. :)

I always always get nice fitting brassieres. I make sure they cup my boobies well. And that they are really protected. I also make sure that my babies won’t say hello if I pick something on the floor. That’s very important. Coz even though you’re not the type who wears cleavage-revealing tops, they must be well protected just in case. :)

And so there you go! :) I hope you did like my #ootd. :)

This is what I wore on my Ace Hotel and Suites staycation last week with my bestfriends – Jerellt and Boyet, Joie and Jeff and Erlie.

I decided to wear my cute white romper from Terranova (also worn here) to show you that this versatile piece is also perfect to be worn in the city. ^_^

To make my look fun and to add drama on the entire outfit, I wore a salmon slim belt, my multi-functional DIY shirt, my new favorite Celine slippers and finish off with some wooden bangles and earrings and my ever reliable high bun. I am so vacation readyyyy…

Let’s talk about my DIY’d shirt shall we? You’ve seen them here, here and here. And on all occasions, I wore them differently to achieve a specific look. This time around, I try to wear them as a cover up. I love that the lola prints add glits and glamour to my look. Making me look fab without overdoing it. And I love how it gave me a slimmer silhouette.

Aren’t my new slippers fab? I find them charming and girly. The ribbon and the gold detail is gorgeous!

Are you also loving the against the light drama of this pictures. I bullied my bestfriend Erlie into taking this look shots for me and was amazed by the results! After a while she’s enjoying the photo op already and was actually teaching me how to pose.

I love how sophisticated my high bun looked against the light. Yay! If only I can have this background everyday. I’ll be a happy blogger.

We loved the “against the light” pictures so much that my bestfriend Jerellt of Je’s Anatomy agreed to pose ala-fashion blogger. May future ang lola mo sa fashion blogging! Umamin kayoooooo…

And of course, pwede bang wala si Joie of Shots of Life? May future din diba? Girls, I’m telling you, if your food and travel blogs didn’t work, maybe you can switch to fashion blogging? Loving Joie’s sandals from Payless and Je’s silver flats from i-don’t-know-where.

Them girls would kill me for posting this. Nyahahaha! But I would like to take credit for “discovering” them right? You girls are amaze balls by the way.

Goodnight everyone. Tomorrow is a Monday!!! And only a couple more days before my birthday. Yay!!!!

Bumping up this post coz I’m so excited to show you guys how I spent my weekend. After a week full of hospitals and check ups and tests and doctor’s appointments, I went to Ace Hotel and Suites together with my bestfriends for a much needed staycation. Of course, I’ll do a separate post for that soon but for now, let me show you guys what I wore on my last day at the hotel.

I wasn’t able to pack properly. I jus grab the first few things that I saw on my wardrobe and stash them on my overnight bag. Grab my lappy and all the cords and the chargers and the wires that I need to stay connected on the internet and then stash my make up kit and then I left home. I’m not even sure if I had enough underwear or if I was able to bring one (well I did! I found 4 on my overnight bag. Thank heavens!)

And so I was glad that I was able to pull up this look the next day from all the random stuff on my bag. Wore my cutie glittery denim skirt from Juicy Couture and paired it with the black tank and finish off with my glittery/pearly jacket. I love this jacket so much. I made it the focal point of my look actually. Eh ikaw ba naman kuminang na parang si Michael Jackson tapos may pearls pa!

And don’t you just love my new slippers from Celine? They are so girly and glam. :) I am so overusing them!!!! And oh! They’re on sale! Got them for Php 200.00 only. Major score!

Staycations are fun and we usually go for comfort dressing during these times. But that shouldn’t stop us from being fashionable right? And usually, all we need are just statement pieces like this blazer of mine who just demands attention and we are good to go.

Na-miss nyo?? Sorry! To my readers who’ve been bugging me to post my next Mila Stories then here it is. Ang demanding lang! Hayaan nyo naman muna akong maka-getover sa last Mila Stories post dahil dangal ko ang itinaya ko dun.

And besides, I’m posting this today as my way of saying…

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!! To Mila. To Nanay. To Mama Iba. To all the mothers out there. We as children should always love and respect our mothers. Not all mothers are perfect. Mine is not. But the love of Mila to me is unconditional. I know that. I feel it to my bones. The kind of love that I know I’d never get from anyone else. I was loved beyond words. And I am who I am today because I was raised this way by my mother. And I would always be proud of that.

I LOVE YOU MILA! From the moon and back. Even if you annoy me to death. Kahit mas madalas mo akong laitin kesa purihin. Kahit ginagawa mong isang malaking comedy bar ang bahay natin. I LOVE YOU pa rin!

* Mila and my aunt went to Paco market for their usual palengke time. They we’re already on their way home when a pulubi approached them. *

Pulubi: Palimos po.

Aunt: Naku pasensya ka na. Nakapamalengke na ko.

Pulubi: (this time approached Mila) Palimos po.

Mila: Naku! Eh limang piso na lang pera ko boy. May dos ka ba dyan?

Pulubi: Huh? Bakit po?

Mila: Eh ibibigay ko sayo tong limang piso tapos bigyan mo ko ng dos para may pangyosi naman ako.

Pulubi: (left my mom with matching kamot ulo)

Aunt: Hahahahahaha! Ang galing mo talaga Ate Mila. Humingi ka talaga ng sukli sa pulubi? Hahahahaha..

Mila: Eh pangyosi ko nga yung limang piso eh. Buti nga bibigyan ko pa sya ng tres. Ayaw nya bahala sya.

Aunt: Hahahahahahahahahaha… Pinag-math mo pa yung bata?????

MOTHER’S DAY

* We would usually greet Mila at exactly 12MN every time there’s a special occasion like birthday, mother’s day or Christmas. But last year, my sister and I was not able to txt her at exactly 12MN. So at 6AM Mila went banging on my room door. *

Mila: Nene! Nene!

Me: Bakit Ma? Ang aga aga pa ah!!!

Mila: Wala lang gising ka na?

Me: Hindi pa!!! Matutulog pa ko!!

* After a couple of minutes. *

Mila: Nene! Nene! (while banging my door even louder)

Me: Ano ba?? Bakit ba?? Ang aga aga pa oh!!

Mila: Mother’s Day ngayon!!! Hindi nyo ba ko babatiin???

Me: Babatiin kita pero pwede bang mamaya na?? Inaantok pa ko Ma! (asar na asar na ko by that time)

Mila: Diba dapat kaninang 12 nyo pa ko binati? :’(

Me: (medyo natatawa na naiinis na naawa na ko sa nanay ko so I opened the door) Ma, hindi naman requirement na 12 binabati ng mga anak ang nanay nila pag mother’s day. Oh Happy Mother’s Day na. I love you! (sabay hug)

Mila: (smiling na sya by this time) Salamat anak kong maganda. Penge naman akong pang-Jollibee. Mother’s day ngayon dapat Jollibee ang almusal ko.

Me: Mila! Bata ka ba???? Ginising mo ko para dun????

Mila: Basta gusto ko yun! Bakit ba? I’m the mother!

CHISMOSA

* It happened way back in College. Mila’s making chismis with a neighbor. *

Me: Mila!

Mila: Yes Nene?

Me: Baon ko? Papasok na po ko. Hahatid na ko ni Papa.

Mila: Eto. Babay. Ingat ka. I love you anak.

Me: I love you too. Babay.

* And so I left. *

Neighbor: Pumapayag kang Mila lang ang tawag sayo ng anak mo?

Mila: Oo naman! Eh Mila pangalan ko. Masama kung tawagin nya kong Ana. Biruin mo yun, sarili kong anak di ako kilala?

Neighbor: Ano ka ba? Syempre dapat Mama o kaya Nanay. Sa akin hindi pwede yang mga ganyan. Dapat nirerespeto ako ng anak ko.

Mila: Bakit? Di naman ako binabastos ni Nene ah. Tsaka pwede ba? Wag ka ngang plastik dyan. Eh di ba nga isang buwan ka ng hindi pinapansin ng anak mong lalaki? Buti yang anak ko uma-aylabyu pa sa akin. Inggit ka lang kasi pinapansin ako ng anak ko?

Neighbor: Grabe ka naman.

Mila: Eh plastik ka eh!
