Terraz Bistro & Meetings - Payday Buffet

Last payday, the bestfriend got invited by the people from Raintree to try out their latest offering at the Zuellig BuildingTerraz Payday Buffet. At dahil isang dakilang bff ang bestfriend ko, sinama nya ko! Yehey! Thanks Raintree peeps. Akala ko talaga sa labas ako maghihintay eh. Hihihi..

I’ve actually heard of this payday buffet at the Zuellig Building from another friend who works at that building. She has been telling us about this place kaso laging di nagtatagpo ang schedule namin. I even see another friend on that resto that night. Ganun sya kasikat sa circle of friends ko. And after that visit, I totally understand why.

For only 395php++ for eat-all-you-can buffet lunch and 450php++ for dinner, this is really one of the most sulit buffet offering I’ve ever seen. Add 50php for a glass of iced tea and you are all set.
Their location is also perfect as Zuellig is just a stone-throw away from the Ayala Triangle, at the very heart of the Makati business district.

The restaurant has this hotel’ish vibe complete with cozy chairs, perfect lighting and some nice music.

The payday buffet is only twice a month though. As in every payday lang talaga. On normal days, they offer regular ala carte food. The schedule of the payday buffet also varies. Definitely it’s a weekday and the closest to 15th and 30th. We were told that it’s best to call first to confirm their buffet schedule.

One of the best thing about these buffet is the fact that they change their menu every time. So always expect something new. And they are definitely not found on their regular menu entrée. So there’s really something to look forward to.

We started off with some soup to warm up our tummy for the “laban”. And I swear, soup palang, sarap na sarap na kami. Sulit na agad for us. I was not able to take a photo of the soup kasi naubos ko na bago maalala na I’m there to blog nga pala. Harhar!

Their salad bar may not be huge but there are more than enough to choose from. They have different dressings available and a couple of toppings (tama ba?). Those salad in the glass is actually chicken inasal and is super duper good. The chicken are well cooked and it goes perfectly well with the greens. Grabe!

Their roast beef is juicy and soft and the sauce is perfect. I got a couple of slices and was able to finish them off. Ganun sya kasarap. Kahit busog na ko, go pa rin!

They also have pasta, veggies and chicken. Everything are all good. The veggies are cooked perfectly, hindi lanta. The chicken is also perfect.

But I’ll put my bet on their pork belly! Emergerd! The moment those pork cuts hit my mouth, I was in heaven. Sooooobrang sarap! Kahit eto lang and their special rice, promise! Sulit na for me.

It was a bit raining that day and so I made sure to get some tawilis and some vinegar dip. It was crispy and crunchy and really really good.

These babies are calling my name the moment I entered the resto. Oo! Una ko talagang napansin yung chicharon. Aside from the really, really good food, major plus points to Terraz for their preparation. They made sure that the food are served well and they are pleasing to the eyes. Imagine mo naman yung lumpia sa baso? Para tuloy ang sarap papakin. The food are also well spaced and not crowded.

Actually, that’s another major plus point for Terraz. The place is not crowded kahit buffet sya. When I learned form the best friend that it’ll be a buffet food trip, nag ready na ako ng mga ninja moves ko. Usually, yan ang problem ko sa buffet eh. Ninja moves kung ninja moves talaga. But here, not really. Well spaced nga kasi ang mga food so madali mag picture ng hindi kami pandidilatan ng mata ng ibang diners.

Of course, I always leave a room for desserts. We’ve tried everything (as usual) and nagulat ako because I loved it too. Their revel bars are to die for! Me and Jerellt have very high standards already when it comes to desserts. Having a bestfriend na sooooobrang galing at sooooobrang sarap mag bake, our taste buds are already very picky. So when both of us liked it, sabi namin kay Michele (the Raintree person who invited us), ibig sabihin good talaga to.

Even on most Zomato meet ups that I attend, hard to please na talaga ako sa dessert. But their revel bars deliver. Pak na pak! Ganern!

Pero sorry guys ah. I tried talaga na tikman lahat ng nasa buffet spread pero hindi na namin kinaya ang fruits. Bwahahha! So yes. Basically, prutas lang ang nakaligtas sa metikulosang foodies. Sensya na. Di ko na keri ang oranges at watermelon eh.

Aside from the payday buffet, the good ambiance and good food, Terraz also has meeting rooms. They have small ones and much bigger ones good for 30 pax. The meeting rooms are private and is perfect for meetings or team lunch/dinner out. Just go ahead and call them.

All in all we had loads of fun trying out their buffet. We’ll probably go back there for a lunch out with our other friends. I’m excited to try the other offers of Terraz too. Great job to the chef for passing with flying colors.
