Review: After You by Jojo Moyes

After-You-Jojo-Moyes-ReigningStill

I can’t believe I totally forgot to blog about this!! I finished reading this book, like ages ago. As usual, nawala na naman sa isip ko. I totally need to have my blogging schedule fixed. (As if!) Pero ako lang ba to? I swear, even if I know I have to blog on one thing, pag di ko talaga sya trip isulat, walang lumalabas na creative juices. Di ata talaga ako pwedeng maging professional blogger.

And so here I am rambling nonstop again. Where are we? Yeah! A review of After You by Jojo Moyes. The sequel of the much loved book turned movie, Me Before You.

Actually, I don’t know what to expect on this book. Coz hello! We all know that Will Traynor died on the first book. Basically, this sequel is all about Louisa Clark. Her life after Will’s death. How she’s coping up. How her life turned upside down after Will. And how she got back her life through Will daughter.

Honestly, I love how Jojo Moyes was able to write books that talk about delicate stuff and make it seem, well lighter. Well not really lighter, but. Basta!

Unlike the first book, this second one is something I was able to “wrap my head around”. Well feeling ko lang masyado ko syang na-gets kaya pati yung underlying topics that was written in between the love story and funny antics, na-gets ko.

I love how it was written. How they were able to talk about a lot of the realities of life and make it seem, well, real. Just real. Raw. Full of emotions and crazy. But life is full of emotions and crazy anyway.

Gustong gusto ko magbasa ng ganitong type ng books eh. Yung may lalim. Read it up too. And let me know what you think!
