Blogging from a café once again. Thank God I’m just 1 tumbling away from the café and I can afford to go here even though I am still a bit sick. The heat is unbearable at home. My entire family’s squeezing on my baby brother’s bed for comfort. Siya lang kasi ang may karapatan mag-aksaya ng kuryente sa bahay namin. Lahat kami wala! Kesehodang mamatay ka sa init wag kang mage-aircon!! Nyahahaha..

I’m wearing another DIY’d top here. I am so loving all my DIY projects. I just realized that most of the clutter in my closet are composed of items that I don’t wear because they are so out of season. And what’s a girl to do? Give them a make over of course! ano pa’t self-proclaimed fashionista ako!!!

This top is an old lola shirt. Those oversized polo that our granny’s love to wear, remember? They kinda made a short come back last year and I rummaged some old clothes on our stash and this is one of them. This is a short-sleeved shirt that I use for layering then. But the sleeves are really big and since it’s short-sleeved and oversized, the sleeve length is kinda weird. So, what I did is cut off the sleeves, and tie it at the front for that summery feel. :) I love that after cutting off the sleeves, it leaves a humongous armhole for a little peek-a-boo. Diba?! Lakas maka-summer!!

I love my top’s fabric. I think most of our lola shirt are like that – soft and breezy. I have 2 more and I am planning on doing the same. Those 2 other shirts are printed. Yes, they are lola prints! But I think if I cut them, they’ll be perfect for summer. And this kind of top can be worn with skirts, pants or shorts as seen here. You can tie them in front like what I did here or just tuck it in. You can also keep the buttons open and make it a vest. I swear! I have loads of things in mind already. I tried the vest thing and it’s too cute for words. Will try to post them here soon. :)

Decided to pair my “new-old-top” with a floral shorts, sandals, my ever cute bayong, a high bun and red lippies!! So ready for summer. Perfect outfit for the mall. I can also see myself wearing the same if I’m out of town. You know, while jumping from one tourist spot to another as you take a gazillion of photos and loads of jump shots!! :) Aminin nyo, DSLR nalang na nakasabit sa leeg ang kulang, turistang turista na ang peg ko!

P.S.: These pictures made me realize how important make up is in doing fashion blogs. I went to the Covergirl stall at the mall and the very nice beauty consultant kinda did my make up here. :) Which made me hoard their stuff. Well actually, it’s just two lippies, crème blush and an eye liner. But I whatever! Mahal padin sya! Anyway, nagustuhan ko naman so carry lang.

It’s scorching hot in Manila! I even had to spend my weekends at a café just to beat the summer heat without hurting our electric bill. And so I went out and wore my cutie swim shorts and DIY’d shirt. Now I know what’s the next question is- if it’s too hot in Manila, why on earth am I wearing this Neon hoodie??

Its because of the schizophrenic weather!! Darn!! One minute its thunderstorms all over and then the next minute its scorching hot. I swear! One must be ready for every Manila weather mood, its getting tiring! I am seriously thinking of breaking up with him. Char!

Plus this neon hoodie is perfect for the indoor AC. Some establishments tend to overuse their AC to give comfort to the hot people getting in, as in yung hot na naiinitan and not hot the sexy. At dahil girl scout ako, may dala akong pang ginaw syempre!

But this hoodie is actually a very thin one, almost see-through. It’s just for light layering and gives a little comfort if its getting quite cold. Plus, it gave my look that much needed oomph! I’m on a very simple shorts + white tee combo so I need to add a statement piece on my look.

I love how summery my entire look is. Perfect for a stroll at the beach. That’s one thing I love about summer, the fun of color that we can add to our look. I super loved how this outfit turned out. I look really laid-back and extremely fun and outgoing.

Anyway, I’ve been DIY’ing much lately. Cutting some clothes to make them summer-ready and I am enjoying it! Imagine how much I was able to have a complete set of wardrobe without spending a single cent? I just cut away and that’s it. Take this tee as an example. This one has been seating on my closet for a year now and I haven’t worn it once. And so since this shirt is a little big on me, I decided to cut all the edges so I can have a sleeveless top that I can wear with jeans, leggings, skirts or shorts. I have another DIY’d top that I can’t wait to share with you guys. You can try them!! Will share how I do it soon…

This look is my perfect example of not compromising style with comfort. With the right key pieces, you can achieve both. Sabi nga nila, bakit ka magtya-tyaga sa isa kung pwede mo naman i-achieve ang lahat! Sugapa lang ang peg. Hahahaha..

If you are wondering how I pick the colors on my look and knew instantly that it’ll work – its because I choose color that’s already on the shorts. That way, my outfit looked cohesive. And of course, I just have to finish off with high bun and some sunnies para lang may drama.

I’m not yet feeling okay. Asthma still bugging me. Darn! Why am I not born healthy?!! Oh well!

Since I got new shoes (for only Php 300, for my other finds check this blog post), I got extra excited to wear them. :) I know my outfit here is a little weird. I’m not even sure if it’s a good match but well, I’m sick! And a girl should commit a couple of fashion crimes here and there. Harhar! Atleast aminado naman ako.

My top is actually a dress. The dress should have been okay but I got tired of wearing it so I experimented on pairing it up with my other skirts. Para maiba ang look. Though some said it’s okay, I still think my outfit made me look chubz chubz. You agree?! Oh well. Better luck next time. :) At dahil din tamad ako mag isip, I just stayed on the colors on my outfit. See: blue shades, blue shoes, blue top, black and white skirt and black accessories. Tamad talaga! :) But I still feel pretty anyway. Kanya-kanya yan! My blog, my property, my right! Basta pretty ako! Cute at bagay sakin. Hahahaha.. Ang kumontra panget! :-P
