Here’s what I wore on the MYOH2013 event yesterday. I know that it’ll happen at The Rockwell Tent so I wanna be comfy and ready for the summer heat. My favorite DIY shirt is just perfect. I can’t seem to stop wearing them.

Paired my DIY shirt this time with my cute asymmetrical skirt and my favorite CMG slip-ons that I also can’t stop wearing. Finish the entire look with minimal accessories – just the huge skull earrings and my Charlie Sunnies.

With my perfect accessory – little boy Sapsap. :) Bagay ba? Pwede na ba kong maging Kikay Mommy? :)

Right after the event, I had sissy take my outfit look outside the tent. I am really getting good at posing in front of everyone. The things I do for the sake of blogging! :)

Deadma on my lukot top. :) And if it’s a little lousy. I was carrying the little boy the whole time. Plus it’s just a quickie photo op. We did ninja moves right outside the tent. Wearing my high waisted skirt na hindi na mukhang high waisted. Nyahahaha.. Nevertheless, I still hope you liked my look. @_@

It’s that time of the year once again. It’s time to make your own Havaianas and have fun while doing so. We tried it last year and we sure enjoyed a lot so we promised ourselves that we’d do it again this year. I’m a flipflop kind of girl and Havaianas is one of my favorites. But the fact that I can design my own pair and have all the bragging rights of doing so makes me giddy.

And so my sissy, our little pogi nephew Sapsap, the companion and I went to The Rockwell Tent for the annual MYOH!

As usual, we were greeted by the nice Havaianas people as we enter the tent. And plus points for us as we we’re prioritized because of Sapsap. They say that if you have a baby or if you’re with PWD, you no longer have to line up and wait for your turn to enter the tent. Yay! Anyway, we arrived at around 2:30 PM so it’s not yet too crowded.

This year’s theme is all about IMAGINATION. And Havaianas’ special sole this year is a collaboration with a Filipino artist named Dan Matutino – a glow in the dark one. And so it all made sense that we we’re greeted by these glow in the dark, huge flipflops upon entering the tent. The little boy was amazed at what he’s seeing. And the kids at heart sure had fun. :)

And now it’s time for my favorite part – doing the mix and match! Sissy wants the special sole and I really want to get myself the slim sole because I don’t own a pair yet. And though I also wanted the special sole for myself, I just gave in. One thing great about having a sister with the same shoe size as yours is that you expand your shoe collection. Ayoko na bumili nung special sole, hihiramin ko na lang yung kanya! \m/

Even the little boy had fun doing the mix and match. That’s his I-am-seriously-thinking-of-my-sole+strap+pins-combo look. Well actually he’s just having fun spinning the wheel. Isa syang malaking sagabal sa seryoso naming pag iisip.

And now it’s time to make our own pair! Last year, we visited on the last day of the MYOH event and madami ng not available. Like the pins that we wanted and some colors for our size. And that’s why we decided to go on a Saturday this year – 2nd to the last day. But there are still some items that are no longer available. The Dan Matutina sole is no longer available on our size (33-34) so we got the 35-36 instead. A size bigger but since it’s flipflops anyway, it’s no big deal. They just put a strap for 33-34 so we can still have the same fit. Next year, sa first day na talaga kami pupunta!!

Presenting our very own Havaianas! :) I got the Slim Sole in Navy Blue + Metallic Gold Strap + Winged Skull Pin. Last year I am all for colors on my pair but now I want the simple one. I think I can wear this with anything on my wardrobe. While sissy got the Special Top Sole by Dan Matutina + Salmon Strap + Left and Right Wing Pins. This for me is love! I can see myself borrowing this over and over. Yay! Anyway, I really want the 3 stars pin but it’s no longer available. Huhuhuhu… But I still love my new pairs!

And oh! Our flipflop comes with this cutie reusable eco-friendly bags! And I love that they got coloring pens with it. So you can try and color the drawings on the bag. :) So artsy-fartsy. Me likey!

The Ate who’s doing our pair graciously offered to take our pictures coz according to her, maganda ang view from her place. And voila! Oo nga naman! Kita yung giant hot air balloon of flipflops! Thanks Ate! That’s one thing I love the most on MYOH events, the people there are all oh so nice! Lakas maka good vibes!

Anyway, our MYOH2013 experience was a blast! I am already excited for next year. :)

SERENDIPITY – fortunate accidents, finding something great while you’re not actually looking for it. It’ll always be my favorite word. And I will always associate that word with L-O-V-E.

Anyway, it was serendipity that I found this gorgeous location. It was just outside a fastfood chain near our home where my brother and sister and I dined one Sunday afternoon. But then I went out and saw the clear blue sky! Of course the blogger in me kicked in and I asked my sister to snap some look shots for the ze blog. Eh ano kung naka-tsinelas ako?? Hahahaha! Pwede na yan! Sayang ang background!!!!!

I love my back drop sooooo much! Perfect blue skies, those warm greens and the strong contrast of buildings and the pavement and the car! These are actually raw photos. I didn’t put filters to enhance it. I just cropped and put borders and combined them. Ang dali ng buhay blogger sa ganito kagandang background!! At ganito kagandang lighting!! @_@

So this is my normal weekend look. Some comfy top, shorts and flipflops. I actually went to the mall earlier that day with Mila hence the golds in my outfit but usually I’d settle for some casual accessories as well. Or if I’m with BoiBoi, I’d ditch the accessories. Ayokong masugatan ang mahal na prinsipe. Mas importante ang skin ni Boi kesa sa fashyown ko!

Oversized tops are perfect for short shorts. And what I’m wearing here is actually a shift dress that I tucked in my shorts for that flowy casual look. This is actually a fave of mine and I find it hard to wear since the fabric is too thin. Its kinda see-through already. BUT don’t you just love the print? Its Paris dear! Its Paris!!

And yeah well, I paired the gorgeous top with floral shorts just to add to that summer peg and finish off with the flipflops para wagas ang feeling komportable nasa beach! :)

I welcomed 2013 with this look. :) I’ve read somewhere in the internet that green, blue and purple are the lucky colors of 2013. And because I can’t choose one color to for my New Year’s eve look, I wore all! :) You know me! I’ll have everything if I can. Hihihih..

I’ve had this top for the longest time and I haven’t worn it once. Maybe because of the very low side cut. And I am too chubz to layer! Hahahaha.. Thank the Fashion Gods for bandeaus, they are my New Year’s eve outfit savers. This bandeau is actually a personal favorite for I can wear it as a skirt (see here) or as a tube top like what I did here. Flexible items simply expand your closet so I must say invest on them. :)

And of course, the main reason why I really opted for this top is because of the print – WONDERFUL! I am wishing and praying for a wonderful 2013. And I’m claiming it. :)

My look is actually heavy on the blues and greens (which actually looks good together) but I really want to incorporate all the lucky colors so pinilit kong maghanap ng purple. I tried this purple beaded bracelet and it worked! Wow! Purple, blue and green can actually look good together. :) I love fashion and its endless possibilities.

Don’t you just love how colorful I am? :) And yes! I’m wearing flipflops for this post because they are part of the ensemble. Read blue and green flipflops. Buti na lang may make your own Havaianas at na-predict ng ex jowa ko na magiging lucky color ang blue and green. Hahahaha! Pasok sa banga ang tsinelas ko!!!

P.S. I love the fact that I am actually wearing a sleeveless top here. I know my arms are a handful but this top definitely made miracles and they looked katanggap-tanggap! I just have to mention that you know?! :) Hahahahaha..

My sister, G.p and I went to the Rockwell Tent for the annual Make Your Own Havaianas event. It’s a first for us three and I must say we did enjoy! :-P I guess we’ll be adding this to our annual To Dos! :)

We all had fun mix and matching. Loads of colors to choose from. At first I was like “ay! eto lang designs and colors!” but when it’s time for me to decide, I really can’t choose because there are loads of matchy matchy colors that I want. Honestly! Plus the pins and everything. Hahaha..

This year is extra special because Havaianas is celebrating their 50th year. I saw their future collections and I can’t wait to get my hands on those tribal printed ones. :) Yey for flipflops!

I just hope Havaianas would improve their quality. My recent ones are kinda not good. They snap easily. :( Unlike my Ipanemas which are all in good condition except for the fact that they look uber dirty. That’s my issue with Ipanemas anyway, dirt tend to stick on them easily and permanently no matter how hard and often you clean it. My Havaianaas are more manageable but as I’ve said, they tend to easily snap. Oh well! G.p’s anyway! But since she uses mine often, she was able to throw one of my loves to the trash.

I also had fun watching the Havs people assemble my flipflops! Hahaha.. At first I thought we’d be able to do it ourselves but I guess it’s safer that way. :)

I choose the yellow + aubergine combination while G.p opted for the Green + Ice Blue and my sissy went for the Dark Green + Silver. I added the #Happiness pin because they said I’d be able to help some kids to be happy. Any little way I can, I want to help of course! And besides, it defines how I feel everyday… Happiness! :)
